More than a decade in the making
System of a Down return to Australia on Friday 22 January 2027, taking over Accor Stadium for their first Australian headline tour in more than ten years. Fresh from a sold-out UK and European stadium run, the band arrive in Sydney with a catalogue that has shaped heavy music for more than two decades, from Toxicity and Chop Suey! to B.Y.O.B. and Aerials.
And this is not a quiet return. Faith No More will join System of a Down in Sydney, bringing two hugely influential rock bands together for one Friday night at Accor Stadium.
Where to eat before System of a Down at Accor Stadium
There is no need to head straight to Sydney Olympic Park as soon as the afternoon rolls around. Stay in Pyrmont, take your time getting ready, then stop at Percy for Spanish-inspired plates, natural wine or a cocktail before making your way to the show. It gives you somewhere to start the night properly before Accor Stadium takes over.
Getting to Accor Stadium from Hotel Woolstore 1888
For major concerts at Sydney Olympic Park, public transport is generally the easiest option. From Hotel Woolstore 1888, guests can walk around five minutes to Convention Light Rail, travel to Central Station, then connect with the train network to Olympic Park, usually via Lidcombe.
Allow approximately 50–60 minutes from the hotel to Accor Stadium, depending on connections and event-day services. Olympic Park Station is located within the precinct, a short walk from the stadium. Public transport to and from the concert is currently included with event tickets, with final transport arrangements to be confirmed closer to the date.
