Radiohead 2027
Six nights in Sydney. Fifteen years in the making.
Radiohead return to Australia in 2027 for the first time in 15 years, with Sydney hosting an extraordinary six-show run at Afterpay Arena.
The band will perform on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26, Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Monday 31 May, followed by Tuesday 1 June 2027, giving Sydney fans multiple chances to experience one of modern music’s most distinctive live acts.
For longtime listeners, it is a return that has been a long time coming. For a younger generation who discovered Radiohead well after their last Australian shows, it may be the first chance to hear that catalogue in the room rather than through headphones.
A catalogue that keeps finding new listeners
Few bands have moved through as many different musical worlds while still sounding unmistakably like themselves.
Across albums including The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead have built a body of work that moves between guitar-driven rock, electronics, orchestration and experimentation.
Songs such as Karma Police, No Surprises, Paranoid Android, Fake Plastic Trees and Everything in Its Right Place have taken on lives of their own, while the band’s live performances have long been known for reshaping familiar material from one night to the next.
Six Sydney performances leave plenty of room for that unpredictability.
Make Sydney part of the trip
For anyone travelling into Sydney for Radiohead, this is a good excuse not to make the concert the only plan.
Base yourself at Hotel Woolstore 1888 in Pyrmont and spend the hours around the show closer to the city. Wander Darling Harbour, stop at Percy before heading out, or leave the following morning free for breakfast and a slower start.
Afterpay Arena sits at Sydney Olympic Park, while back in Pyrmont the pace feels distinctly different. After a show built to pull you completely into its world, having somewhere quieter to come back to feels fitting.
